Plans to read together
One short reading a day. Start on the same day and everyone reaches the same chapter together, each reader ticking off their own progress as they go.
The Way to God: Grace for Every Sinner
35 days·~18 min/dayA month on the oldest good news there is. Richard Baxter's tender call to the unconverted, D. L. Moody on the way to God, and Charles Spurgeon's All of Grace — the plainest of guides to how a sinner is saved, and how to know it.
Day 1 ·A Call to the Unconverted
New to the Faith
39 days·~8 min/dayFive and a half weeks for anyone just beginning with Christ. Charles Spurgeon meets you at the wicket gate with the plainest help there is for trusting Jesus; then R. A. Torrey, writing for new believers, shows how to begin right — assurance, the Holy Spirit, the church, the Bible, prayer and witness. Short articles along the way answer the questions every new Christian asks: what the gospel is, why Jesus died, what baptism and the Lord’s Supper mean, and how to keep growing.
Day 1 ·What Is the Gospel? A Clear, Simple Summary
Foundations in Prayer
27 days·~9 min/dayFour weeks laying the foundations of prayer with three guides: Andrew Murray on how the Lord himself teaches us to pray, D. L. Moody on prevailing prayer, and Hannah Buyinza on prayer as the daily pulse of the Christian life.
Day 1 ·Lord, Teach Us To Pray

-
Sermons from the great preachers
Hundreds of sermons by Spurgeon, Moody, Wesley, Whitefield, Edwards and others, many with study questions. A help in sermon preparation, and short enough for a one-week study.
-
In the languages your people speak
Books are published as full editions in Spanish, Swahili, Luganda, Portuguese, Arabic, French, Hindi, Ukrainian and Amharic as well as English, with more languages on the way, so members can read in their own language.

Questions
Is Ochorus really free?
Yes. Every book and sermon on Ochorus is free to read, with no paywall, no subscription and no ads. The classics themselves are in the public domain, and Ochorus is a ministry, not a business.
Do our members need to create an account?
No. Anyone can read without signing up. A free account is optional: it keeps a reader’s progress, notes and saved books in step across their devices.
Which writers are in the library?
The library spans the whole history of the church: early church fathers such as Augustine and Athanasius, Reformers such as Luther and Calvin, the Puritans, the great revival preachers, missionaries such as Hudson Taylor and Amy Carmichael, and leaders of the East African Revival.
Can we print books for our members?
Some books can be downloaded as free PDF and EPUB files from the book’s page. If you would like to print books for your church or an outreach, please contact us first. We would be glad to talk it through.
How can our church support the work?
Besides the free library, Ochorus prints books and gives them away at pastors’ conferences and in churches, schools and prisons across East Africa. If your church would like to take part, contact us.
