Job

Treated in 228 passages across the library.

A poem of suffering and faith set in the patriarchal age. Job, a righteous man, loses his wealth, his children and his health, and his three friends insist he must be suffering for his sins. Job protests his innocence and longs to meet God, while still confessing "I know that my redeemer liveth." The Lord answers him out of the whirlwind, Job bows in humility, and his fortunes are restored.
