Jeremiah
Treated in 338 passages across the library.
The prophecies of Jeremiah, the "weeping prophet," who warned Judah for some forty years before Jerusalem fell to Babylon. Rejected, imprisoned and grieved, he called the people to repent and foretold the seventy years of exile. He also proclaimed a new covenant in which God would write His law on their hearts, a promise the New Testament sees fulfilled in Christ.
