Numbers

Treated in 102 passages across the library.

The fourth book of Moses, named for the two numberings of Israel. It follows the people from Sinai through forty years in the wilderness: their murmuring, the report of the spies, the rebellion of Korah, the bronze serpent lifted up for healing, and Balaam's blessing. A generation dies in unbelief, and a new one stands on the plains of Moab ready to enter the land.
