Nahum
Treated in 11 passages across the library.
A prophecy of the fall of Nineveh, the capital of Assyria, the empire that had carried the northern kingdom into exile. Nahum declares the Lord slow to anger but great in power, and announces the city's destruction as good tidings to Judah. In the midst of it stands the assurance, "The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble."
