Jonah

Treated in 26 passages across the library.

The story of the prophet Jonah, sent to preach to Nineveh, the capital of Assyria. He flees by sea, is thrown overboard and swallowed by a great fish, and prays from its belly until he is delivered. When he finally preaches, the whole city repents and God spares it, to Jonah's displeasure. Jesus pointed to Jonah's three days in the fish as a sign of His own death and resurrection.
