About this book

A series of sermons Torrey preached to ground his own congregation in what they believe, out of the conviction that the great need of the churches is systematic instruction. He takes up in turn the inspiration of the Bible, the being and nature of God, the deity and real humanity of Christ, the person and work of the Holy Spirit, the atonement, justification by faith, the new birth, sanctification, the resurrection of the body, and the things to come.
