Faith
About this book
Twelve of Charles Spurgeon's presidential addresses to the annual Conference of his Pastors' College, given between 1872 and 1890 to the hundreds of ministers and students he called his sons in the faith. Speaking with a freedom he allowed himself nowhere else, Spurgeon presses on preachers the faith, holiness, prayer, and courage their calling demands, and stands firm for the old gospel against the drift of his day. Written for ministers, but a bracing word for every servant of Christ — teacher, missionary, or believer — who would exercise an “all-round ministry.”
NOW that the time has come for me to address you, my beloved brethren, may God Himself speak through me to you! The subject which I have selected for this address is FAITH. As believers in Jesus, we are all of us of the pedigree of faith. Two lines of descent claim the covenant heritage.
