About this book

Thirty-one short readings, one for each day of a month, on Christ’s words in John 15: “Abide in me, and I in you.” Murray writes for believers who came to Christ gladly and then found the first joy fading, and he argues that the answer is not more effort but a settled, daily resting in the Vine: Christ as wisdom, righteousness, strength and keeper, at every moment and in every trial. Most days close with a prayer.

It is to you who have heard and hearkened to the call, ‘Come unto me,’ that this new invitation comes, ‘Abide in me.’ The message comes from the same loving Saviour. You doubtless have never repented having come at His call.
