Gareth Evans’ Biography

Gareth Evans is an itinerant pastor/teacher and author who is burdened to minister to the hurting church through his ministry website, Gareth Evans Ministries.

He was born in the Welsh town of Merthyr Tydfil, in 1938 to Cyril Evans, a World War II RAF soldier, and Ethel Evans, a gifted pianist who devoted herself to the role of a loving housewife.

Gareth enrolled in Cowbridge Grammar School and delved into pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and physics at the Advanced Level. He expanded his intellectual pursuits and ventured into higher education at the University of Swansea (Brynmill campus), where he attained an Honours degree in Physics.

He taught at Kenfig Comprehensive School, Windsor Boys School in Germany, the British Army Education Corp in Hong Kong, Ogmore Grammar School in Wales, Toronto French School, and The Toronto Hebrew Academy.

Describing himself as a worshipper, Gareth shares his profound connection with the Holy Spirit and has since spread the word of God in different ways. He has authored numerous devotionals, Christian books, and poems uploaded Bible teachings on his website and has served as a pastor in various cities and continents.

Gareth is married to Anne and they have three daughters: Corinne, Andrea, and Lynette, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
