It's exciting to share stories of prayers that were answered! In this chapter, you’ll see examples of people who prayed and experienced amazing results. Some stories come from the Bible, and others are real- life testimonies from today’s church. God never stops answering prayers, especially when we pray in Jesus' Name. Check out these inspiring examples of people who prayed and saw victory!

Received Strength Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, prayed. Though purely divine, he was also purely human. Through prayer, Jesus was strengthened. “And there appeared to h im an angel from heaven, strengthening him.” Luke 22:43.

Received a Son Hannah is also one of the women who prayed and prevailed. She was one of the two wives of Elkanah, a Levite who lived at Ramah. Despite the fact that she was married, she had no children, and that upset her. She cried unto the Lord, and she prevailed. She gave birth to a son whom she called Samuel. Samuel was given unto the Lord, and he did mighty exploits as we see in 1 st and 2 nd Samuel.

Shamed All Prophets of Baal Another was Elijah, who prayed for fire to come down from Heaven (1 Kings 18). When the people of Israel turned away from God and worshipped false gods, especially the false god of Baal, Elijah prayed for fire on Mount Carmel. This was to prove the only true God. With the prophets of Baal praying to their God for a response, Elijah prayed after their god did not answer. The Lord God of Hosts answered by sending fire from Heaven. He prevailed!

Rescued from a terrible accident Among those outside the Bible is myself. I got into a terrible accident during my O-Level holidays. I was hit by a motorcycle and almost taken over by a car on the same road, but thanks be to God, I was saved. No one knew that I would make it; some thought that I was not mentally okay when I stood up, but God is great. When I called upon the Lord, He saved me! Here I am 10 years later, so beautiful and healthy! Glory to God!

Healed from HIV/AIDS At my local church, there is a lady who was diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. She was sick all the time, and many, including some believers, lost hope, but she didn’t! She kept on praying and believing God for greater things even though she looked like she was about to die. Finally, she was healed by the power of God. It has been more than 15 years since she was healed, and she is still negative to this day! Praise the Lord!

Got her results Biyinzika sat for her university exams but was never given marks. As many told her to repeat those papers, she refused and prayed. God answered her prayers, and the marks that were allocated on her academic papers were so excellent that they were a marvel.

Got a job Exceeding her expectations, Precious got a well-paying job at one of the biggest companies in the country after praying. She had finished school but hadn’t found a placement. Through prevailing prayer, she was able to see results, that were beyond her comprehension. Glory to God!
