Personal Profile
Gareth, and his wife Anne, were both born and raised in Wales. They married in 1961 after he received his Bachelor of Science with honors in Physics and a Diploma of Education from the University of Wales. In 1975, they immigrated to Canada where Gareth continued in his chosen profession as a secondary school physics teacher. In 1979, he was invited to pastor a church in Kitchener, Ontario with the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
Four years later, he received a call to Victoria, British Columbia where he pastored for the next eight years, and where they still reside.
In 1990, Gareth was invited to serve as the chaplain on board the Mercy Ship, M/V Anastasis, working between Europe and West Africa.
There he and Anne ministered to the crew and had many opportunities to speak at churches, pastors’ seminars, and missionary conferences. Since leaving the ship in 1994, Gareth has traveled extensively, teaching at discipleship training schools and various conferences. Gareth and Anne have three daughters, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
