Conclusion: Real Life, Real Hope

You’ve reached the end of thirty days of real life. Whether you read them one a day or in bursts, whether some days felt like they were written just for you and others didn’t, you’ve kept showing up. That matters.

Think back over the road.

In Part 1 · My Mind, you looked at what happens inside your head: worry about the future, fear that hits hard, thoughts that won’t leave, never feeling good enough, anger, jealousy, boredom, your body and your need for rest. You saw that God cares about your mind, and that He doesn’t ask you to fake being fine.

In Part 2 · My Screens and My Heart, you looked at the phone in your hand and what it does to you: who’s in charge, what fills your mind, games, cruelty online, influencers. Then the heart: crushes, dating, breakups, friend drama, and the strange loneliness of being seen and liked and still alone.

In Part 3 · My People and My Pain, you came home: conflict with parents and siblings, families that split, forgiving and saying sorry, grief, failure, the secret you carry and the stuff you want.

Through all of it, one thing hasn’t changed. Jesus is the same in every room of your life. He isn’t scared off by your mess. He walks into it, the way He walked up to Zacchaeus’s tree and to Lazarus’s grave.

If you haven’t trusted Jesus yet

Maybe you’ve read this book from the outside. Thank you for coming this far. Here’s the heart of it, as simply as we can put it.

God made you, and He loves you. But all of us have gone our own way, and our sin has cut us off from Him. We can’t fix that by trying harder. So God came to us. “God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus died in our place, and three days later He rose again. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” And the promise is wide open: “if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

You can tell Him right now, in your own words. Something like: Jesus, I believe You died for me and rose again. I’m sorry for the wrong I’ve done. Please forgive me. I want to follow You. Make me Yours. If you pray that and mean it, tell a Christian you trust: a parent, a pastor, a youth leader or a friend. You’re not meant to do this alone.

Keep going

Don’t let the end of this book be the end of your daily time with God. Keep a time and a place. Read a chapter of a Gospel each day, or a psalm. Pray honestly, in your own words. Stay close to a church and to friends who follow Jesus.

And try one of the classics from the Go deeper sections. They were written by real people who faced what you’re facing: grief, failure, family trouble, doubt. The God of All Comfort is a gentle place to start on a hard day. Tukutendereza will show you ordinary African believers who learned to forgive and to put things right. Pick one and read a chapter a week.

Coming next: Book 3

Anchored Book 1 asked Is it true? and Who am I? Book 2 took that faith into real life. Book 3, “What Am I For?” looks ahead: your calling, your study and your work, money in depth, justice, sharing your faith, leading others, and the church. God didn’t only save you from something. He saved you for something, and Book 3 will help you start finding out what.

Until then, keep your anchor where it belongs: in Jesus, firm and secure.

Lord Jesus, thank You for walking with me through these thirty days of real life. Thank You that You care about my mind, my screen, my heart and my home, and that no part of my life is too messy for You. Fill me with hope, and keep me anchored in You through every storm. Show me what You made me for, and help me follow You every ordinary day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
