Purity in a Corrupted World

Today's culture often celebrates sin, but God calls His children to holiness. Purity is not old-fashioned. It is powerful protection for your heart and your destiny. Purity includes your thoughts, your words, your actions, and your motives.

"It is God's will that you should be sanctified." — 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4

Purity of Heart

Sin begins in the heart before it becomes an action. Guarding your purity means watching what you feed your mind, including the movies you watch, the music you listen to, the jokes you share, and the things you look at on social media. Ask the Holy Spirit to cleanse your desires so that your thoughts align with God's truth.

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." — Matthew 5:8

Relationships That Please God

Healthy relationships honour God and respect proper boundaries. Love is not the same as lust. Love gives; lust takes. True friendship builds you closer to Jesus and strengthens your future. If a relationship is pulling you away from prayer, from your studies, or from your peace, it is not from God.

Patience in your youth brings joy in your adulthood.

How to Stay Pure

Pray each day for strength. Avoid situations that compromise your values. Fill your mind with Scripture. Confess temptations to God quickly before they take hold. Build friendships that encourage holiness. And remember your value: you are God's temple.

"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit?" — 1 Corinthians 6:19

Example: Ruth's Testimony

Ruth from Mukono chose to remain sexually pure despite strong peer pressure. Friends mocked her, calling her old-fashioned. Years later, God honoured her choice. She graduated at the top of her class, married a godly husband, and became a youth mentor. She now tells students: "Purity protects your peace."

Prayer

Lord, help me to stay pure in heart, mind, and body. Give me the strength to resist temptation and the courage to live differently. Fill me with Your Spirit every day. Amen.
