Living with Purpose

Vision gives meaning to today's effort. Without it, you drift and waste your potential. God's vision for your life was written before you were born (Jeremiah 1:5). He knows your talents, your passions, and your calling. Your task is to seek Him and to walk in the plan He has prepared for you.

How to Discover God's Vision

Pray and listen. God speaks through His Word and through the peace He places in your heart. Examine your gifts and your deep interests, because what you love doing is often connected to your calling. Pay attention to what burdens you. What problem do you wish you could solve? That passion may reveal your purpose. And seek counsel from mature Christians who can help confirm God's direction.

Biblical Dreamers

Joseph dreamed of leadership and endured many trials before that dream was fulfilled. Esther used her position and courage to save her people. Nehemiah saw a broken wall and rebuilt it despite opposition. Paul dreamed of preaching across the known world, and he did. Each dream began small but grew through faith and perseverance.

Obstacles to Vision

Fear, sin, laziness, and discouragement can cloud your vision. Some dreams die because people stop believing in them. Others fail because of pride or impatience. Keep your eyes on Jesus. He will show you the right time and the right way.

Modern Examples

Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed of racial equality achieved through peace, not violence, and he pursued it faithfully. Stephen Kiprotich visualised Olympic gold during long, lonely training runs in Uganda's hills. Ben Carson dreamed of becoming a surgeon while growing up in poverty, and he did, through faith and sustained effort. God often plants the biggest dreams in the most humble hearts.

Building a Future Step by Step

Stay close to God each day. Study with diligence. Develop your character through every decision you make. Save small amounts consistently and plan with a long view. Find mentors who can guide and encourage you. Serve others faithfully, because God promotes servants.
