Conclusion: Found Faithful
You made it through another 30 days! Well done, faithful son of the King.
Remember the verse at the very beginning of this book? “Now it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.”
God has trusted you with so much: your time, your talents, your body, your friends, your family and your whole life. And more than anything else, He wants you to be faithful.
Not perfect. Nobody is perfect, not even Peter. But faithful: someone who keeps coming back to Jesus, who does the right thing day after day, who can be trusted.
In this book, you learned what faithfulness looks like. In integrity, being the same guy everywhere, honest in games and tests, even when no one’s watching. With screens, making sure Jesus is the boss and meeting with God first. Against temptation, watching and praying, running from wrong and toward right, and running to Jesus for help. In winning and losing, playing hard, being a good sport, pressing on and doing it all in Jesus’ name. And in following Jesus, like Andrew, Thomas, John and Peter.
You also met five more real men who stayed faithful to God: George Müller, Adoniram Judson, Sundar Singh, David Livingstone and Hudson Taylor. Not one of them was perfect. But each one kept following Jesus.
If you haven’t trusted Jesus yet
Being faithful to Jesus starts with trusting Him. He died on the cross to take the punishment for your sins, and He rose again, just as Thomas saw with his own eyes. He offers you forgiveness and a place in God’s family forever. You can pray something like this:
Dear Jesus, like Thomas, I say: You are my Lord and my God. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I’m sorry for the wrong things I’ve done. I trust You as my Savior, and I want to follow You. Thank You for making me a son of the King. Amen.
If you prayed that, tell someone: your dad or mom, a pastor, a leader or a Christian friend!
What’s next
In Book 3 of Sons of the King, you’ll learn about growing up: handling your emotions, how God designed your body and the changes that come as you grow, taking on responsibility, discovering what God might be calling you to do, and finding men who can help you become the man God designed you to be.
Until then, keep following Jesus. Be faithful.
“Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will do it.”
— Psalm 37:5 (BSB)
