Conclusion: Strong

You made it through 30 days! Well done, son of the King.

Let’s go back to where we started. On the very first page, you read God’s promise: “I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

That’s who you are. Not your scores, your stats or your level in a game. Not how tough you look, how fast you run or how many people think you’re cool. Not the names people call you, or the mistakes you’ve made. You are a son of the King.

Over these 30 days, you’ve learned that Jesus gives new names, like He did for Peter, and that your worth isn’t your score. You learned that you’re a son and heir, loved by a compassionate Father who gives you His strength, and who can use even a scared guy like Gideon.

You learned that real strength is strength under control. Samson had strength without self-control, but a guy who controls his temper is greater than a warrior. You learned to master sin at the door, to leave revenge to God, to be gentle like Jesus and to know that real men cry.

You learned about friends and brothers: iron sharpening iron, encouraging like Barnabas, finding a mentor like Timothy did, choosing your crew wisely, treating girls with respect, like sisters, and standing up for the kid nobody likes.

You met men of courage: Caleb, Jonathan, Elijah and Stephen, and a boy king named Josiah. And you learned that it takes courage to admit when you’re wrong.

And you learned about work, honor and faith: working like the ant, keeping your word, guarding your eyes, honoring your parents, growing like Samuel, and standing firm in everything you do, with love.

You also met real men who trusted God in amazing ways: Samuel Crowther, Festo Kivengere, C.T. Studd, Eric Liddell and William Carey. They weren’t perfect. But they knew whose they were.

So do you.

If you haven’t trusted Jesus yet

You become a son of the King by trusting Jesus. He died on the cross to take the punishment for your sins, and He rose again. He offers you forgiveness and a place in God’s family forever, as a free gift. You can pray something like this:

Dear Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I’m sorry for the wrong things I’ve done. I trust You as my Savior, and I want to follow You. Thank You for making me a son of the King. Amen.

If you prayed that, please tell someone: your dad or mom, a pastor, a leader or a Christian friend. They’ll want to celebrate with you!

What’s next

In Book 2 of Sons of the King, you’ll learn to be faithful: living with integrity when no one’s watching, being wise about screens and gaming, handling temptation, winning and losing well in sports, and following Jesus like the disciples who gave up everything to follow Him.

Until then, remember whose you are. Be strong, and do everything in love.

“I ask that out of the riches of His glory He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being.”

— Ephesians 3:16 (BSB)
