Conclusion: Keep Following
What a journey! Over the last 30 days, you’ve walked beside Jesus through His whole life on earth.
You saw Him born in a manger, visited by shepherds and wise men. You met Him at twelve years old, asking questions in His Father’s house. You watched Him get baptized and heard the Father say, “This is My beloved Son.” You saw Him stand strong against the devil and call ordinary fishermen to follow Him.
You watched Him turn water into wine, calm a storm with a word, feed thousands with a boy’s lunch and walk on water. You saw Him stop for a blind beggar, hug children and call a dead man out of his tomb. You heard His stories about a lost sheep, a runaway son and a good Samaritan.
And you walked with Him through His last week: the crowds shouting “Hosanna,” the towel and the basin, the cross, and the empty tomb.
After all that, one question matters more than any other. It’s the question Jesus asked His disciples one day: “But what about you? Who do you say I am?” (Matthew 16:15).
Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” What would you say?
If you want to follow Jesus
If you’ve never trusted Jesus as your Savior, you can do that today. Jesus died on the cross to pay for your sins, and He rose again. He offers you forgiveness and new life as a gift. You can talk to Him in your own words, or pray something like this:
Dear Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I’m sorry for the wrong things I have done. I want to trust You as my Savior and follow You as my Lord. Thank You for forgiving me and making me Yours. Amen.
If you prayed that, tell someone! A parent, a pastor or a Christian friend will want to celebrate with you and help you grow.
What’s next
Following Jesus isn’t a 30-day project. It’s for life. And as you follow Him, He starts to change you from the inside out.
In Book 3, you’ll discover how that works. Jesus said, “I am the vine and you are the branches” (John 15:5). When you stay connected to Him, His life flows into you and grows good fruit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness and more. You’ll learn about the words you say, the habits you build and the kind of person God is growing you to be.
Until then, keep reading about Jesus. The four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) are full of stories we didn’t have room for. Keep talking with Him. And keep following Him, one step at a time.
“But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.”
— John 20:31 (BSB)
