Conclusion: A Daughter Growing Up
You did it! Ninety days, if you’ve read all three books. That’s three whole months of spending time with God, learning who you are and discovering how to live as His daughter.
Take a moment to think about how much you’ve grown, not just taller, but on the inside.
This book was about growing up. You learned that big feelings are part of how God made you, and how to handle anger, sadness, embarrassment and moody days. You learned that your changing body is God’s good design, and what to expect as you grow into a young woman. You learned to make wise choices about crushes, money, time and being online, and to keep a pure heart. You discovered that God made you for a purpose, gave you gifts and wants to dream with you. And you learned how to learn from older women, how to help younger girls, and how to keep bearing fruit your whole life.
Growing up isn’t always easy. But you don’t have to do it alone. God is with you every step. And He’s given you women, like your mom, your grandmothers and the women at church, to walk beside you.
Please keep talking to them. Keep asking questions. There’s no question too silly or too embarrassing. They want to help you grow into the woman God made you to be.
If you haven’t trusted Jesus yet
The most important step in growing up is trusting Jesus. He died on the cross for your sins and rose again, so that you could be forgiven and become a daughter of the King forever. You can pray something like this:
Dear Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I’m sorry for the wrong things I’ve done. I trust You as my Savior, and I want to follow You as I grow up. Thank You for making me a daughter of the King. Amen.
If you prayed that, tell someone: your mom or dad, a pastor, a leader or a Christian friend!
What’s next
Keep growing! Here are some ideas:
- Read a book of the Bible, like the Gospel of Luke (which tells about many of the women you’ve met) or the book of Proverbs.
- Read the Brave for God books to learn more about the women (and men!) you’ve met.
- Read Rooted, our 180-day series for all young readers, if you haven’t yet.
- Keep a prayer journal.
- Find a mentor, and be a big sister.
You are a daughter of the King. Wherever life takes you, remember whose you are.
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
— Ephesians 3:20–21 (BSB)
