Conclusion: Beloved

You made it through 30 days! Well done, daughter of the King.

Let’s remember where we started. On the very first page, you read God’s promise: “I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

That’s who you are. Not the girl in the mirror. Not your grades or your clothes or how many friends you have. Not the mean things people might say, or the mean things you might say to yourself. You are God’s beloved daughter.

You’ve learned that God knows your name and made you on purpose. That He looks at your heart, not your appearance. That comparing yourself to other girls is a trap, and contentment sets you free. That real friendship is loyal, kind, drama-free and points to Jesus. That God has always used brave girls and women: Miriam, Deborah, Abigail, Rahab, a servant girl whose name we don’t even know, and Mary. And that the most beautiful thing about any girl is a heart that loves God.

You also met real women who trusted God in amazing ways: Amy Carmichael, Gladys Aylward, Corrie ten Boom, Mary Slessor and Mary Jones. They weren’t perfect, and they didn’t always feel brave. But they knew whose they were.

So do you.

If you haven’t trusted Jesus yet

You become a daughter of the King by trusting Jesus. He died on the cross to take the punishment for your sins, and He rose again. He offers you forgiveness and a place in God’s family forever, as a free gift. You can pray something like this:

Dear Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I’m sorry for the wrong things I’ve done. I trust You as my Savior, and I want to follow You. Thank You for making me a daughter of the King. Amen.

If you prayed that, please tell someone: your mom or dad, a pastor, a leader or a Christian friend. They’ll want to celebrate with you!

What’s next

In Book 2 of Daughters of the King, you’ll learn to be brave: how to face worry and anxiety, how to use your voice, how to serve and lead, and how to follow Jesus like the women who stayed with Him all the way to the cross and the empty tomb.

Until then, whenever you forget who you are, open your journal, read your letter to yourself and remember: you are beloved.

“Those who look to Him are radiant with joy; their faces shall never be ashamed.”

— Psalm 34:5 (BSB)
